Boomer - Thanksgiving Day 2011

Hello Fellow Boomers. Today is Thanksgiving Day in our good America.

It’s no surprise to many Boomers and non-Boomers the national and world news seems to worsen by the day. Or perhaps it is a matter of perspective, even if the statistics say otherwise. Our national leaders in all governmental capacity have disappointed us and distrust in now the norm. However, o for today, let’s put all that aside and feel a warm heart and clear mind for all our brothers and sisters.

I wish for all of you the blessings of Faith, Family, Friends and Fun. Let’s not forget our appreciation and gratitude for all the blessing our Nation has given its citizens and the world. This special day of prayer honors God and the goodness of our people.

So today when you are with your families give thanks and prayer.

Best regards in Freedom!

Boomer - Independence Day - Our Flag Says It All

Greetings Fellow Boomers and Patriots and wishing you all and all Americans a fun filled July 4th. Independence Day is our day to celebrate our freedom and our birth right to govern ourselves. Our Founders sacrificed their property and lives so we can assemble as a free people. The American flag is a symbol of our Country and let us not forget our history. When you awake on Monday morning let us all say a prayer in honor of all the men and women who have became before us, and those of the future. And say, I'm proud to be an American!

Boomer - Mother's Day 2011

Greetings Fellow Boomer's!!! Today is Mother's Day. I was blessed with a loving mother who brought me into the world. My mother was compassionate and giving and an excellent role model for a small boy to become the person I am today. I thought it appropriate for you to listen to Jefferson Airplane's Embryonic Journey. Even though I never liked their politics the 60's music was and is most excellent even today. I wish you, family and mother a great day, and even if you never meet your mother, thank her for a miracle journey. Denny Cincinnati

Boomer - Be Thankful To Your Maker

Hello Fellow Boomers. Spring is in the air and makes for warm spirits. People just feel better! Living during the 1960s was certainly a challenging and exciting time. Consistent with change, for some, was a belief in God or a force beyond human understanding was something to be joked about, mocked at or just people being stupid. In a secular society, many believed, taking God out of the classroom, courthouse and society was a mission to be fulfilled with rigor. I'm happy to report that In God We Trust is still on the American Dollar and more importantly in the hearts and minds of fellow Americans. A belief in God is personal. With that said, we are the only country in the world that believes human freedom comes from God not man. Hence, it is a God given right that cannot be changed. Our Founding Fathers understood this and created a country that was guilded by principles. God is under attack in our country. Evil exists and now is the time to stand up for freedom and be thankful. It has been said that we should never talk about God or politics, but that is what its about - Freedom. Stand up! So today be thankful for all things below and to your Maker. Let me know your thoughts! Here is a video of the popular 60s band Fairport Convention and their song of thankfulness and the Maker. Denny Cincinnati

Boomers - The King's Legacy

Hey Boomers. Today is Martin Luther King Jr's observed birthday in our nation. If you are the first wave of the Baby Boomers you would remember Dr. King very well. Hard to believe there existed a defacto racial divide back in the 50s and early 60s, but it was real. It wasn't until I was 10 that a local pool permitted blacks entrance for the first time, not in the Deep South; but, Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. King's core beliefs echoed a faith-based and self-governing rule of law. Today, many Baby Boomer liberals reject this kind of philosophy which is profoundly conservative. Moral relativism with subjective values is not what Dr. King stood for.

His aim was to change people with love, peace and respect. A nation with freedom depends on it's citizens with responsibility. Yes, Dr. King we will be judged not by the color of our skin, but the content of our character. The principles of Dr. King are the truths of the Founding Fathers and a valuable guide as our nation faces a multitude of challenges. The dream is not forgotten Dr. King, we will make sure your vision of human equality shines on.
