Hello Fellow Boomers. Spring is in the air and makes for warm spirits. People just feel better!
Living during the 1960s was certainly a challenging and exciting time. Consistent with change, for some, was a belief in God or a force beyond human understanding was something to be joked about, mocked at or just people being stupid. In a secular society, many believed, taking God out of the classroom, courthouse and society was a mission to be fulfilled with rigor. I'm happy to report that In God We Trust is still on the American Dollar and more importantly in the hearts and minds of fellow Americans. A belief in God is personal. With that said, we are the only country in the world that believes human freedom comes from God not man. Hence, it is a God given right that cannot be changed. Our Founding Fathers understood this and created a country that was guilded by principles.
God is under attack in our country. Evil exists and now is the time to stand up for freedom and be thankful. It has been said that we should never talk about God or politics, but that is what its about - Freedom. Stand up! So today be thankful for all things below and to your Maker.
Let me know your thoughts! Here is a video of the popular 60s band Fairport Convention and their song of thankfulness and the Maker.
