Hello Fellow Boomers. Like all of us Boomers our generation started in 1946 after the end of World War II. Today marks the 65th anniversary of D-Day on June 6th, 1944 and the invasion to free Nazi Europe by American, British and Canadian troops. It's sheer magnitude will be part of our history forever, including many Boomer fathers who were on the beaches in Normandy, in the Pacific Theater, or home in town across America fighting evil in all corners of the world.
Many of my parents fathers fought in WW II. They were the ones who didn't talk about it. Too painful! Let us remember and say a prayer or affirmation to thank the brave men who stormed the beaches and died, who were wounded or lived with scares for a lifetime.
Let me know your stories of the Greatest Generation who molded ours! Be proud of them Boomers, they were the BEST!!! Here is a clip from Saving Private Ryan.
Be well!
