Boomer Hyper Inflation Is Coming

Hello Fellow Boomers. I've been talking to several benefit, economic and financial consultants. It appears that our Country maybe experiencing future serious financial problems. BIG TIME!!! I remember taking my macroeconomic courses at the University of Cincinnati, during the 1970s. According to the professor, our economy runs in cycles, but this cycle trough could be way beyond what the professor discussed. According to many experts, just when many of us are ready to retire, our dollars will be devalued. If you have saved your hard earned dollars, gasoline will be $8.00 a gallon and going to a restaurant will be a major investment. Our current Administration propensity to spend our tax dollars, increase taxes promised, and encouragement of Cap & Tax legislation, I question what our lifestyles will be like after 2012. Check out this video...let's hope the experts are wrong!

What do you think?

Boomer Remembering Freedom

Hello Boomers. I lived during the Cold War period. During this time many films were made of the Communist threat. Perhaps much of it was overblown, but some had deep truths. Watch the following film made in 1948 and let me know your thoughts. Freedom is what makes America happen!

Boomer Dad's

Hello Fellow Boomers. Seems like only yesterday father's were men of strength and integrity. Unlike cartoon characters on TV of the dysfunctional. With Father's Day coming Sunday, it's a good time to remember our father's who helped teach future fathers. My dad was born in 1908 in an Iowa farm town and he was one of the Greatest Generation. He was not perfect, but knew I was always loved and supported. I was surrounded by my dad friends who too were excellent role models for me growing up in the 1950s. Many people joke about the nuclear family portrayed on 50s TV programs; but, I'm here to tell you it was very real for me.

Here is one of my favorite songs about father's. Hope it brings back many good memories for you too!

Boomer D-Day Rememberance

Hello Fellow Boomers. Like all of us Boomers our generation started in 1946 after the end of World War II. Today marks the 65th anniversary of D-Day on June 6th, 1944 and the invasion to free Nazi Europe by American, British and Canadian troops. It's sheer magnitude will be part of our history forever, including many Boomer fathers who were on the beaches in Normandy, in the Pacific Theater, or home in town across America fighting evil in all corners of the world.

Many of my parents fathers fought in WW II. They were the ones who didn't talk about it. Too painful! Let us remember and say a prayer or affirmation to thank the brave men who stormed the beaches and died, who were wounded or lived with scares for a lifetime.

Let me know your stories of the Greatest Generation who molded ours! Be proud of them Boomers, they were the BEST!!! Here is a clip from Saving Private Ryan.

Be well!
