Remember When
Friday, February 12, 2010
Boomer Civic CourseHello Fellow Boomers. Below is a short cartoon film on what makes us Americans. Many of you in the first wave of the Boomers will remember these types of films from grade school. The Cold War was in full swing in 1948 and continued for many years until 1989 when the Berlin Wall came down. I placed this cartoon on the site over a year ago and received many telephone calls. Yes, it is dated, but timely to what is happening today. Let me know your thoughts!Be well! Denny Cincinnati

Hey Denny,
I am a proud 1979 graduate of Harding College (Searcy Arkansas). After proving it could educate even a poor Hoosier soul like me, it obtained University status shortly thereafter. The cartoon continues to ring oh so true even these many years since its creation. It is a pleasure to see YouTube bringing it new life to another generation. Hopefully all generations are paying heed.
Very good civics lesson. Perhaps some of our School Superintendents should place this clip in their schools for our young people to view and ponder.

Thank you for your comment. Yes, we take freedom in this country for granted. Education is the key and important to remember on this President's Day.
